I have to tell you I admire people who are not afraid to follow their dreams! Meet Arlene - she is an actress and a model who moved to LA to focus on her career. We did a photo shoot while she was in SF visiting her family for thanksgiving, and I'm SO happy for that. 3 minutes with her makes gazillion portfolio images for me, cause she is SO good!!
I know a few years from now, when I will have 5 kids and a house in Berkeley; and will be watching a new hollywood blockbuster and I'll be telling my kids how I knew this girl before she got famous ;)
Olessya and Sasha are my really good friends, who now I can honestly say I connect with on some really deep level. Olessya always reminded me of my younger sister, (who I can't see very often :(() and that's one more reason why I truly enjoy our friendship :)
Anyways, the time has come and O & S are soon to be parents, and of course WE had to do a shoot to capture these beautiful and may be intimate moments of expecting a first child. Hopefully we succeeded.. :)))
So couple weeks ago I approached Jen to take pics of her kids, because they are super cute! What happened then was really embarrassing and clearly will be remembered forever - at the set time I showed up at their house to find out that I left my camera battery charging at my apartment.. so obviously no pictures were taken that day - arghh.. Thankfully Jen and Evan are super nice and understanding!!! And didn't give me hard time.
Anyways on our second attempt, we got these --
Today (yesterday since I'm writing this at 2:30am - hehe) I was taking pictures at the Talia's Flower Boutique at 3043 Clement @33rd Ave in San Francisco.
SO if you know this neighborhood, you will not expect to see a place like this one here, BUT lucky us - we now have the COOLEST flowers in all Richmond district. The owner Nancy has the best taste! and that shows in everything from the front door to their business cards. Stop by if you're in the neighborhood to get some! Don't know about you, byI'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck :)))
